Photo shoot 2

Andrew is now 8 days old. He is still being a very good baby - eating and sleeping. Last night he was only up for one feed between 11pm and 7am so Mammy is able to get rest in between. He's had a busy day today - at the Breaking of Bread and the Gospel meetings this morning and out for a family walk in the afternoon. Getting a bit tired of Mammy's photo shoots though!

Andrew - more photos

Here are some more photos of the wee man. As you can see, he's been sleeping quite a lot. When he's not sleeping, he's usually feeding so he's been great so far. No doubt, he'll start exercising his vocal chords soon.

Baby Vang

It's been nearly a year since our last post and so many things have happened since then. The most noteworthy being the birth of our first son at 5am on Saturday 13th September.

He took some time in coming but once he decided to come he did not hang about. Thankfully Uncle David and Auntie Andrea came just in time for mammy and babba to go to the hospital. The peerie boy was born less than 15 minutes after mammy arrived at the hospital. He weighted 3470 grams (which is 7lb 10) and was 50 cm long (just under 20 inches).

His name is Andrew James Napoleon Vang. The name Andrew is after his late great grandfather from Roesound, Shetland (and great grandmother Andrea in Faroe), James after his Shetland grandfather and Napoleon after his Faroe grandfather.
